Professional Nurse Specialty Operating Theatre (Grade 1-2)

Role requirements

Grade 12, Diploma/Degree in General Nursing, SANC registration as General Nurse and Midwifery, and post-basic Operating Theatre Technique qualification. Grade 1 requires four years’ nursing experience; Grade 2 specifies ten years in the speciality after qualification. Provide specialised peri-operative nursing, supervise personnel, manage resources, maintain records, conduct audits and oversee CSSD and pack room sterility.
