Use a CV format that makes evidence easy to find.
A South African CV should help a recruiter confirm your fit quickly. Clear structure and specific evidence matter more than decoration.
A practical section order
- Name, phone, professional email and location
- Targeted professional profile
- Relevant skills linked to the vacancy
- Work experience, newest first
- Education and relevant training
- Projects, volunteering or achievements where useful
- References or “available on request” when space is tight
Keep private details private
Do not place banking details, passwords or unnecessary identity information on a general CV. Follow the employer’s secure process if a specific application later requires documents.
Write evidence, not labels
Fictional example
Captured and checked weekly supplier invoices, maintained the outstanding-items log and escalated missing documents before month-end.
