Build a first-opportunity search around evidence, not guesswork.
Internships, graduate programmes and work-experience opportunities use different rules. Start at the employer or official programme and tailor your evidence to the advert.
Where to search
- Employer career pages for structured graduate programmes.
- SA Youth and ESSA for free matching and opportunity listings.
- Government department internship notices and the DPSA circular.
- Relevant SETAs for sector-linked workplace learning.
- University and TVET career offices for verified employer programmes.
Build your application evidence
Without long work history, use coursework, projects, volunteering, societies, sports leadership, part-time work and community responsibilities. Explain the task, what you did and the result without exaggerating.
Use our no-experience CV guide and student and graduate CV guide.
Check the rules before applying
- Qualification and field of study.
- Graduation year or current study status.
- Age, citizenship, province and employment status where stated.
- Required academic record, ID or certified copies.
