• Use readable names: Thandi-Mokoena-CV.pdf and Thandi-Mokoena-Cover-Letter.pdf.
• Open each file after saving it.
• Check the recipient address, reference number and total file size.
• Do not attach ID or banking documents unless the verified process specifically requires them.
• Keep the sent email and any automatic confirmation.

Follow the department advert exactly and use a completed, signed Z83 where required. Read the Z83 form guide and verify the advert before sending personal documents.

What should the subject line say?

Use the exact format requested in the advert. If none is given, use the job title, reference number and your name.

What should I attach?

Attach only what the advert asks for. Usually that is a CV and sometimes a cover letter, application form or qualification proof.

Can I apply through WhatsApp?

Only if the verified employer advert explicitly says so. A WhatsApp-only advert with fees or no official employer page is a warning sign.

When should I follow up?

If the advert does not prohibit enquiries, one polite follow-up after the closing date or stated processing period is enough.
